CHOOSING THE RIGHT HOOD

Having a hood in the Pacific Northwest is kind of like owning a raincoat. It may not be your favorite accessory to use, but you need to have one. A good hood can mean the difference between spending a session gritting your teeth in pain after every duckdive, to happily focusing on getting that next barrel. The right hood should not only keep water out of your ears, but allow enough space to see your peripherals, and allow you to comfortably turn you head from side to side.
