Earlier this year, we travelled down to Santa Barbara to check out the Channel Islands factory. We'd like to show you a little peak inside, showing a little bit of how things work there. They shape A LOT of boards, but it's clear that they care about each one. From detail in the CNC machine shapes, to the fine tuning done by the shapers, to the glassing, sanding, and packaging, Channel Islands certainly has the process figured out. The Cape Kiwanda Longboard Classic is on for the 23rd year! We are excited to be back with a live event after two years of virtual events. This year’s contest holds special meaning to the northwest surfing community as we will start off the event Friday evening with a paddle-out in honor of long time contest participant and avid northwest surfer, John Newman.
