We are one week away from this years 14th Annual Longboard Classic! Registration is almost full, so if you haven't signed up yet don't wait any longer. If you are competing or just coming to town to watch the contest, make sure you have booked your house, hotel room or campsite, from what I hear these are filling up fast and not many more are available.
It's going to be a fun weekend with a ton of stuff going on besides just the contest. Everything will be open to the public and we encourage everyone to come to the beach and participate. Remember, all proceeds go straight to the construction and future maintenance of the proposed Pacific City Skate Park! Over the next week I will be posting information about all the different activities, contest schedule and ways people can donate to the fundraiser.
Friday night is the registration party starting at 5:00pm! It will be located on the south side of the Pelican Pub, right on the beach. We will be serving up some super tasty pork provided by PC's new BBQ place, The Ribcage Smokery! We will also have a beer garden pouring beers by the Pelican Pub along with guest kegs provided by Fort George Brewery in Astoria. Dinner and beer tickets will be open to the public and being sold on site.
We will also have music provided by Richie Vidin, and a silent auction with some amazing items (which I will breakdown in my next post). It's going to be a fun night and hope to see you all there!
